I'm a Rugby Union Player from a very young age but I took up Powerlifting when I was recovering from a knee injury. It was during the off season and the rehabilitation of my knee that I met a powerlifter in my local gym and from that moment I was captured by the sport. I've found the sport that my body has been built for. I absolutely love it.
My goals and plan is to go to the World Games next year, and then the Commonwealth Games in 2018 and to push myself to become the X factor in Powerlifting.
I would love to compete at the Olympics, but powerlifting is not in the Games yet — but hopefully it will be by 2024.
I love my intense training regime because it always brings out the competitive spirit in me. I'm built for this sport.
