I am currently a Junior (athletically) playing for Grambling State University, Louisiana in the SWAC Conference. We were predicted to come second to last in the conference, but we had a great season and finished in second place, narrowly missing out on going the NCAA tournament by losing in a penalty shoot-out at the SWAC tournament, November 2017 in Texas.
I have been playing Soccer since I was 4. I am an extremely passionate, dedicated and hardworking player with a positive attitude. I was selected in the U19 Australian All Star Women's Team and went on a tour to the USA in 2014 to compete in the Las Vegas Mayors Cup, and took part in a 2 day training camp at UCLA with the first team and their coaches. I didn't think it could be a possibility, but ever since then, I have wanted to follow my dreams and play Soccer and study in the USA.
I moved to the USA in August this year, and I am looking to transfer to a different university for my final year of eligibility starting Fall 2018. I had a great experience at Grambling and we were extremely successful, but I was sitting behind two of the top strikers in the SWAC, so I didn't see as much game time as I would've liked to. When I was on the field, I was efficient and had a great impact. I connected well with the midfield and forwards, and had 3 assists this season. I am looking to be a part of a team where I see more regular game time, be a starting player and have more of an impact. I am willing to put in the hard yards to make my final season a memorable one.
My attributes are that I am a very fit and fast player; I was one of the best in the team in all fitness tests, and I had a 6:30 mile time. I am also very technical and creative, I have good ball skills and dribbling moves, I'm quick and can move the ball well around players, I can read the game well and I'm a team player. I was a team captain in Canberra and one of the leading scorers in the league.
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Kinesiology and a Minor in Sports Management at Grambling State University, and I'm hoping you have my degree or an Exercise Science degree I am able to continue. When I transferred to Grambling State University from the University of Canberra, I completed a WES Evaluation and they determined that I was academically a sophomore. I was studying a double degree in Canberra in Sports Coaching & Exercise Science/Psychology. I ended up having to transfer into the Kinesiology degree at Grambling and put my degrees in Canberra on hold whilst I complete this degree.
Unfortunately I am unable to get any footage from this season, so the only footage I have at the moment is from over the last couple of seasons back home in Canberra. They show my ability as a player, but I have dramatically improved after playing this season for Grambling as I am stronger, fitter and faster, and all round a better athlete.
