Bio

Payton Kobe Williams (born July 26, 2002) is an American professional basketball player for AAU Basketball League (USA). A 14-year-old point guard, he verbally committed to play college basketball for the UCLA Bruins at age 13 but later dropped his college plans to pursue a professional career. Williams played for Long Beach in Long Beach, California, gaining national exposure in 2015–16 while playing with his brothers: current Fordland Eagle rookie Colby. His biological father Jacob grew into a media personality in 2017.

In his first season at Long Beach, Payton won the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) state championship and was recognized as one of the top seventh grader in the country. As a eighth grader, Williams made headlines after he made a half-court shot in December 2016 and returned to prominence following a 92-point game vs. Los Angles High School in February 2017. He was also a focal point in a well attended Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) game against top middle school recruit Brysen Duke. Through many of his middle school years, Williams was ranked among the top players in his class. He is one of the most publicized middle school-aged basketball players.
