My name is Mohamed Brima Jr. I was born in fretown, Sierra Leone on the 30th April 2001. I started playing football when I was nine years old in Freetown, Sierra Leone. When I first played football I felt that it is something I would like to do for my future career. When I play, I feel comfortable, energetic, and it gives me a purpose in life. My dream is to become a professional football player after my Bachelor degree course. My journey to soccer achievement. I played in local leagues within the community where I used to live, and I won several awards, and trophies as a youth. My biggest achievements came when I moved to Uganda to continue my studies and football career. I started to train with the school team in Uganda in both under 12 and under 14. I played my first match for the under 14 when I was 14 years old. I was astounded that I was considered one of the best players in the team. In 2014-2015 I was promoted to the under 17 and under 20. I started playing the center and midfield position for the under 17, and the under 20 I played center back, sometimes as a starting player and sometimes as a sub. In May 12, 2014 I won sportsmanship award of the year for the under 17 category, and 2015 we went for the international school tournament and won the tournament. In April 24, 2015 I won best player of the month, and also 3 time best defender and twice man of the match. After this, I stopped playing football for some time because of injury. Then I started playing again in 2016 when I joined one of the best international school (Cambridge international high school) in Uganda. I won Edgars academy player of the year in 2016. I also played in ‘Stand up and Shout Out tournament’, and we won the tournament two times, and also Edgars Youth Tournament Run Up. Currently, I am playing for Costa Unida in the south of Spain while pursuing my BBA program in Schellhammer Business School. football achievement, I feel that my biggest achievement in sports was in 2014 when I won sportsman of the year and also Edgar’s player of the year, because Edgars is one of the biggest football academy in Uganda. My best advice for future athletes is not to give up on your dreams and to focus, and also I want to inspire people and I want someone to look at me and say because of you I did not give up on my dreams.
