Bio

I started paddling when I was 8 years old on Lake Banook (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada) in the summer day camp and instantly fell in love with it, ever since, paddling has been a mayor part of my life and something I am really passionate about. My ultimate goal is to become an Olympic champion.

I first made Team Canada when I was 15 for Olympic Hopes in Hungary in 2016, which is a gateway regatta to Junior Worlds for athletes ages 15 to 17. I made this team all three consecutive years and medalled at each competition.

In 2018 I made ICF Junior Canoe Sprint World Championship (Plovdiv, Bulgaria) as a 17 year old. My partner Sophia Jensen and I won the Gold medal in the C-2 500m category. My partner Kate Pennyfather and I were 5th in the C2 200m race . Later that year at the Canoe Kayak Canada National Championships (CKC) in Sherbrooke, Quebec, I won Silver in both 500m and 200m U17 single events.

I graduated from Dartmouth Highschool with a mark average over 90%, making the Principal's list. I am the recipient of the school's Impact Award for the Graduating class of 2019.

I have been accepted into Dalhousie University's Bachelor of Computer Science Program, which I look forward to start this fall.

This past June, I was very honoured to received the "Junior Female Athlete of the Year Award" from the Nova Scotia Support for Sports provincial organization. After successful Canadian National Team Trials later in June, I have been nominated early to the ICF Junior Canoe Sprint World Championship and Canoe Kayak Canada (CKC) National Team to race C-2 500m again with Sophia Jensen where we plan to defend our title as reigning world champions in Romania!
