Christina Rupp (23)

I started playing basketball since i was a little girl. My dream was always to be a professional basketball player. I played at school, in the park, and sometimes in club leagues. My parents did not always have the money so I did not do Club sports often. When i got into high school i wanted to take my game to the next level and i really wanted to go to college and play. However, my coaches at the time were not trying to help me get there. So, i decided to do it on my own. I got a trainer, i played and practiced with the boys in the summer and in the mornings, and I went to the base and just played ball. I eventually made it to Oral Roberts University until the coaches released me. I transferred to college of southern idaho. I was always in the gym working on my game. I sat the bench and i continued to work. I sat the bench mostly all year but i did not stop working and trying to be better. I left CSI and went to Pima community college. Everything was going well until i tore my ACL at practice. I still worked hard in rehab. I pushed through and i got better. However, my coach told me that it was too much of a risk to take me back. Since then i have been playing with a women's league called the tucson sol. I recently went to a showcase and made pro-select.
