Bio

I started Skating 4 years ago at the age of 9. Started with a Roller Skating Summer camp in my area. Seeing my interest & skating skills, the coach at the Summer camp recommended my parents to enroll me for Professional training. So my parents enrolled me at RAISA (Roller And Ice Sports Academy) Thane & my roller skating journey started.
In the first six months I participated in a couple of Competitions on quads & although I did not win any medals, my coach noticed my improvement & Persistence & decided to move me onto Inline Skates.
6 months later he believed that I was ready for Ice Skating & enrolled my name in the State Level Ice Skating Competition. I secured 4th position & qualified for the National level Competition & secured 3rd position in it. Since then I have participated in all national level Competition in the last 3 years as well as many other Competitions in both Roller & Ice Skating happening throughout the year in many different parts of India.
Last year, looking at my development, Ice Skating Association Of India selected me to represent the country in International Camps & Competitions so that I can be groomed to represent India in Long Track Ice Speed Skating in the Olympics of 2002.
As a part of this Project, I recently in October 2018 attended an ISU Development Camp & Competition in Poland & on the last 2 days participated in a competition with international players from 9 more countries.
In the 500 mtrs race I secured 17th position with a timing of 52.66 seconds on the 1st day & on the 2nd day I secured 13th position with the timing of 51.54 seconds.
In December, I attended another ISU Development Camp from 14-22 December 2018. During this period I also participated in 2 Competitions organised by ISU there. On 16th December, I participated in the 500 mtrs & 1000 mtrs races in the 'Sport School Trophy' Competition. I not only clocked a Personal Record & Season Best timing while playing the 1000 mtrs race for the 1st time but also broke the Indian Junior's National Record by 7.42 seconds.
Then participated in the prestigious 'Tatra Cup' Competition organised by ISU on the 20th & 21st of December at the same venue.
On Day 1 (20th December) I participated in the 500 mtrs & 1500 mtrs races. Again while Skating the 1500 mtrs race for the 1st time, I not only created my Personal Record & Season Best timing but in this distance too I broke the previous Indian Junior's National Record by about 42 seconds.
My target is to improve my game first to qualify for the Junior World Championship & then to improve the timing further & later to qualify for the Olympics.
