On Saturday, February 11th, we played Flamingo's '56 Gennep in our last match of regular season. I finished with match-high 17 points (the Killer's back haha). Even though we had to had to walk away with a 3-0 loss, our team showed great effort considering the circumstances. Two of our starters had to sit out with an injury and a third one had been sick all week. Fortunately, our spot in play-offs was secured and the match served mainly the purpose of getting to know our opponent better as we are facing this team again in the play-offs.
Now, let the preparation for a great underdog story begin! Our first game is Feb. 25th against the top team in the league. Fingers crossed that everyone will be healthy by then and no matter what, I know we will go into battle with full effort and that is really all we can control :).

Got a nice 3-0 win over Zwolle today! Now, our crazy busy game schedule slows down a little with our next game being a whole week away! Plenty of time for further improvement - starting with a recovery day tomorrow. :)

Wednesday, Jan 11th, was my first official pro match. It was a quarter final game for the Dutch Cup and we beat Springendal Set-Up '65 in four sets. This means we will play in the semis next Wednesday! Personally, it was a rough game. I am still working on my connection with the team and, once I get into my rhythm, I know it will look much better on my part. Our team, in general, played very well and that showed in the great team win!
Today, we are playing VC Sneek in league action at 19:30 local time (20:30 in EE and 1:30PM ET, 12:30PM CST). It's a tough and experienced team so it should be a fun game! The game is also streamed live here: https://vimeo.com/198962862

Also, on a side note, our team is nominated for the best sports team in Almelo. The awards show is Jan 27th and we would greatly appreciate your support! Here's the link to vote if you want to show some love (PS. no Dutch required): http://www.tubantia.nl/regio/almelo-en-omgeving/almelo/stem-voor-de-almelose-sportverkiezing-2016-1.6790163
The voting box is at the bottom of the page and you can choose "Geen Stem" (no vote) for other categories and on the team page you should see Eurosped :).

Hi all,
Professional volleyball hopeful Kadi Killerkann ( ;) ) here!
I’m the middle child in the “not-so-middle-sized” Kullerkann family. I’ve racked up good 193 cm or 6 ft and (almost) 4 inches – depends on which continent you’re looking from. Some would say these numbers are beneficial for a volleyball player. I won’t argue. Talking about my athletic journey, though, it’s been a whirlwind and to make it easier on you, here’s a quick chronological recap:

2005/2006 – The beginning! I was bad… I mean, REALLY bad. But hey, “I’m doing it for fun. It’s not like I’m ever trying to be a professional volleyball player” – 13 year-old Kadi.
2007 – Get invited to the Audentes Sports Gymnasium and Jr. National Team. Got me dreaming and believing.
2010 – Senior year in High School. Sent out obnoxious emails to coaches in U.S. universities asking for a full ride scholarship in exchange for my height. It worked!
2011 – Started collegiate volleyball career at the University of Houston. (Go Coogs!)
2012 – Tore my ACL and meniscus in the first pre-season match. Absolutely a blessing in disguise – resulted in insane growth mentally and physically… and an extra year of eligibility.
2014 – Last season at UofH. Went all out – broke a few personal, school, and conference records. Volleyball alter-ego "Killerkann" was born ;) . All-America Honorable Mention. Also practiced and played with Estonian National Team.
2015 – Busy, surprising, amazing (and at times disappointing), but mostly fun year. Some more international experience with the National Team. Started an MBA program and finished my collegiate volleyball career at the University of Pittsburgh. (Hail to Pitt!) The most exciting and fun season I’ve had, while also learning a ton as a player and a leader. All-America Honorable Mention.
2016 – Year of recovery and pro career preparation. Finishing my MBA program.

Also added some game pictures from my last season as a Pittsburgh Panther :)
