Unfortunately I lost round one to Saudi Arabia, there were a veriety of problems affecting my overall performance on the day however, I can only control how I fight and no matter the conditions I felt mentally prepared and confident when walking onto the court. However Saudi Arabia proved to be the better fighter on the day and was able to advance forward further into the competition

On competition day at the New Zealand Open, I unfortunately lost to America 17-12. The fight was great, no regrets, I felt great on the day. There was no injury I felt fit and strong however, my opponent proved to be the better fighter on the day. He was of world class level and after fighting him I know that I can stand and fight with the best of the best. After this comp I now know for sure that I am progressing and getting better with every fight. And the next time, I now know for sure that there will be a different outcome.

Today myself and the ONE Taekwondo Team have left Brisbane Australia to go and represent not only our club but Australia as well at the New Zealand Open. I'm super excited and can't wait to see which opponent and which country I'll be dealt first.

Bio

I started my journey in Taekwondo late 2009 in grade 7 with the eventual goal of obtaining a Black Belt. Throughout the year I trained casually as a beginner learning and grasping an understanding of what Taekwondo is as a sport as well as a lifestyle.

Towards the middle of 2010 in grade 8, I began another journey. This time as a Kyorugi (Sparring) fighter and started to compete at local competitions and began gradually increasing in experience and skill and further developing not only towards my Black Belt, but also as an Elite Kyorugi Fighter with a new dream. That being one day an eventual Australian Representative at the Taekwondo World Championships and the Olympic Games.

So far, I have accomplished many goals/achievements, in my eyes I see them as small steps towards those two dreams. These goals/achievements include: achieving a Bronze medal and representing Australia in Edinburgh at the 2014 Taekwondo Commonwealth Championships; Silver at the 2017 Senior World Selections; and various Taekwondo Specific, Australian Institute of Sport 'AIS' Development Camps.

Now I'm looking for all the support I can get, so that I can continue competing within the sport of Taekwondo and one day reach my goals of representing Australia at the World Championships and Olympic Games.
